Trim Levels of the 2024 Jeep Compass

A compact crossover SUV, the 2024 Jeep Compass is a stylish family car with off-road capabilities. Every Compass has the same powerful engine, and Jeep’s Active Drive 4×4 system delivers extra rear-wheel traction when the situation demands it. Of the five trim levels available, which suits you?

Jeep Compass Sport

At every Compass trim level, you get Jeep’s rugged 2.0 L four-cylinder turbo engine, which conjures up to 200 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. This enables a 2,000 lb towing capacity, adding to the Compass’s outdoor adventure potential. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Even at the base Sport trim level, there’s no powertrain compromise.

The Sport and trims above have Selec-Terrain driving modes (Sand/Mud, Snow, and Auto), the Uconnect infotainment system with a 10.1″ touchscreen, and a suite of driver assistance technologies. The latter includes Full Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Drowsy Driver Detection, and Active Lane Management among others. All models are 4WD, though they act as FWD during regular driving to save fuel.

Jeep Compass Latitude

The Latitude trim offers fog and cornering lamps, cloth/vinyl bucket seats, automatic high beams, a TechnoLeather steering wheel, 360 Surround-View camera system, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and front door passive entry and locking. Trims above the Sport offer various available extras, like a sunroof, wireless charging, or a 9-speaker audio system.

Jeep Compass Latitude Lux

Several luxuries are added to the Latitude to make the Latitude Lux. They include a heated steering wheel, premium leatherette seats with heated front seats, sliding sun visors with built-in illuminated mirrors, a remote-start system, larger 18″ wheels (the Latitude has 17″ wheels), and an 8-way power adjustable driver seat with 2-way lumbar adjustment.

Jeep Compass Limited

The Limited is the top model among road-oriented Jeep Compasses. Among its compelling extras are the ParkSense Rear Park-Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, dual-zone climate control, and rain-sensitive windshield wipers. The High Altitude Package (exclusively available for the Limited) proposes a long list of desirable add-ons.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk

For tough terrain, choose the Compass Trailhawk. It’s equipped with Jeep’s 4×4 Active Drive Low system, defined by a low-range gearing system that enables a 20:1 crawl ratio and earns it a “Trail Rated” badge. Other trail-friendly features include underbody skid plates, more ground clearance, a Rock driving mode, and off-road suspension.
